Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev signed a protocol on the establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council of the two states, the press service of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reports. The Azerbaijani leader is in Astana on an official visit.
Following the results of the talks, Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev signed a joint statement and a protocol on the establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the report said.
In addition, Baku and Astana signed six memorandums in various areas of cooperation. In particular, these are a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, a memorandum of understanding between the non-profit joint-stock company Otandastar Foundation and the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, a memorandum of understanding on scientific cooperation between National academies of sciences of the two countries.
The parties also signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between Teleradiocomplex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan NJSC and the Azerbaijan State News Agency.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan LLP and the Azerbaijan Small and Medium Business Development Agency and a memorandum of scientific and cultural cooperation between the Institute of Applied Ethno-Political Research and the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism.
