Kazakhstan and China Sign $15 Billion in Agreements at Business Council Meeting

Beijing hosted the 8th meeting of the Kazakhstan - China Business Council with the participation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vice Premier of China’s State Council Ding Xuexiang, Zakon.kz reports.

Key topics included energy cooperation, sustainable “green” growth, and the expansion of logistics and production chains. A highlight was a live video link with the Shu Industrial Park, where the first production complex for wind energy components was officially launched in the presence of Tokayev and Ding.

More than 500 participants attended, including senior officials and executives of 100 leading companies from both countries. The meeting concluded with the signing of about 70 agreements worth over $15 billion, opening new opportunities for joint projects and investment.

“These agreements are not just numbers - they represent real projects that will create jobs, strengthen industrial capacity, and build trust between Kazakhstan and China,” said Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna.
