Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met at his Akorda residence with the European Union’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduards Stiprais, Kazpravda.kz reports.
President Tokayev noted that the European Union remains one of Kazakhstan’s key and reliable partners, and strengthening multifaceted cooperation serves the interests of both sides. He recalled that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, a major milestone in the development of bilateral relations.
Tokayev also emphasized the importance of active political dialogue between Central Asian countries and the EU. In response, Eduards Stiprais reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to deepening its engagement with Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that practical cooperation will continue to expand steadily across the entire spectrum of regional and bilateral issues.
