Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are launching the first "Silk Road" railway tour. This was reported by Kazakhstan's international news agency "Kazinform," citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Orient.tm reports.

The first trip on the "Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Almaty" route is set to begin on November 16, 2024.

In four days, tourists will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient cities and embark on a journey tracing the Great Silk Road. The route includes key attractions in Turkestan and Tashkent.

In particular, travelers will have the opportunity to visit Otrar, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, which served as an important trade link.

The tour will also include visits to the Arystan-Bab Mausoleum, the historical and cultural reserve-museum "Azret Sultan," and the "Caravan-Saray" complex, the largest of its kind in Central Asia.

In Tashkent, tour participants will experience not only the history of the city but will also have the chance to see the modern development of the Uzbek capital.

For the convenience of tourists, the tour program includes a guide, meals, transportation services, and entry tickets.

The international tour is being launched by JSC "Passenger Transportation" in collaboration with "TauKomek Travel," "Turan Kazakhstan Travel," "Grand Soluxe Travel Company," "SkyWay Travel," "Kompas," and "Khan Turan Travel." JSC "NC 'Kazakh Tourism'" will assist in promoting the route internationally.

As a result of joint efforts, a unique railway tour connecting the two countries has been created. Travel will become more comfortable and accessible for citizens and tourists from other countries who wish to learn about the rich spiritual and historical heritage. This is an important step in the development of tourism and the strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, noted Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerzhan Erkinbayev.
