Kazakhstan declared profitability of participating in the CSTO and SCO

Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zhaksylykov said that participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is beneficial for Kazakhstan, as both structures strive to ensure peace and harmony, Tengrinews reports.
"Historically, Kazakhstan is a member of the CSTO, the organization was established at the dawn of our independence with the aim of maintaining peace and constitutional order within the framework of this association. Later, the SCO appeared, which also has a military bloc. What does it give us? These two powerful organizations strive to ensure peace and harmony in our regions, contributing to the development of our states. It is beneficial for us, and our head of state understands these tasks," Zhaksylykov said.

The Minister stressed that Astana is actively developing cooperation within the framework of these two organizations. He noted the complexity of the current geopolitical situation and said that thanks to the effective policy of the country's leadership, Kazakhstan has no problems with its neighbors. According to the minister, the republic has no unresolved issues on state borders, which makes it a unique state in the world.

Zhaksylykov also noted that thanks to the modern army, Kazakhstan is able to respond to any challenges and threats. He explained that the armed forces of Kazakhstan play a key role in ensuring state security.
