Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, will arrive in Kazakhstan on an official visit on July 2 and will stay there until July 4.

After that, he will travel to Tajikistan, where he will stay until July 6, according to the press service of the Central People's Government of China.

"From July 2 to 6, Chinese President Xi Jinping will make state visits to both countries at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon," the statement said.

It is reported that during his visit to Kazakhstan, Xi Jinping will participate in the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The SCO summit of heads of state and invited leaders of other states will take place in Astana on July 3-4.

In 2013, during his first visit to Astana, Chairman Xi Jinping made a historic speech introducing the later well-known "One Belt, One Road" initiative.

During the Chinese leader's visit to Tajikistan, bilateral negotiations in both narrow and wide formats are planned. Xi Jinping will also participate in other official events.
