Kazakhstan implement 135 joint projects with Russia

Russia and Kazakhstan are implementing 135 joint projects worth $26.2 billion, announced the Chairman of the Board of JSC National Company Kazakh Invest Yerzhan Elekeev, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Russia reports.

This was stated in Moscow during the business dialogue "Kazakhstan – A Vector of Opportunities." The event was attended by heads of ministries and agencies from Kazakhstan and Russia, representatives of the administrations of Kazakh regions, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, JSC "NC Kazakh Invest," and business circles of both countries.

Elekeev highlighted the economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. According to him, 135 projects worth $26.2 billion are being jointly implemented with Russia in Kazakhstan. He named the most significant projects. One of them is a 500-hectare greenhouse complex in the Turkestan region, where tomatoes are grown. The project's value is $1.7 billion.

Another important project is the production of mineral fertilizers in the Zhambyl region. This project is being carried out with the Russian company EuroChem, with a cost of $1 billion. In the Karaganda region, the company Tatneft has established automobile tire production. The project's value is $274 million.

Elekeev also mentioned a project for the production of truck components using cast iron in the Kostanay region, worth $485 million.
