Kazakhstan increased car production by more than third

The production of cars and buses in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2023 increased by more than 40% compared to the same period in 2022, Zakon.kz reports.

Information on the state of the Kazakh auto industry was published by the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB) on July 25. According to the organization, since the beginning of the year, more than 73,000 pieces of equipment have been produced in Kazakhstan for a total amount of over 847 billion tenge. For six months, Kazakhstan produced 66.5 thousand cars, 4.7 thousand trucks and almost 1.1 thousand buses, as well as 499 trailers and semi-trailers and 188 units of other special equipment.

"Production volumes exceeded the results of January-June 2022 by 40.6%," the AKAB said.

In June 2023, more than 14.5 thousand cars and buses were produced in the country (29.2% more than a year earlier).
