Kazakhstan has imposed restrictions on the export of 106 types of goods due to Western sanctions against Russia. These include chips, drone parts, and specialized electronics. This was announced on Thursday by the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kayrat Torebayev.

"These are 106 different products. We have completely restricted their export. These are goods of military purpose. For example, drones, internal components, specialized electronics, chips, and similar products," Torebayev was quoted as saying by zakon.kz.

In July, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Almas Aidarov, noted that Kazakhstan is assessing all risks when trading with Russia to avoid secondary Western sanctions. The ban on the export of military goods to Russia has been in effect since 2022.
