Kazakhstan can increase its oil exports to Germany through the "Druzhba" pipeline from 1.2 million tons to 2 million tons per year, said the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Almasadam Satkaliev, Sputnik reports.
"We are talking about volumes of up to 2 million tons per year, but the final volume will be determined after negotiations," Satkaliev said in Astana.
According to him, during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Germany, the German side expressed interest in increasing the supply of Kazakh oil.
"Negotiations are underway, and agreements are being reached with the Russian side... We have confirmed our readiness. The volume of supplies will be determined as a result of these negotiations," added the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
The Minister noted that negotiations are ongoing between the managing company responsible for the German refinery and the Russian side regarding the transportation through the "Druzhba" oil pipeline.
