Kazakhstan preparing for arrival of the Head of the European Commission

Kazakhstan expects the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to visit this year, which is very symbolic in the year of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko said, Zakon.kz reports.

Back in November 2022, at the initiative of the European Union, faced with the need to diversify the supply of critical raw materials, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen signed a memorandum that will facilitate the establishment of financial and technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU industrial alliances, told at a meeting with journalists Vasilenko.

"In continuation of this high dynamics, we expect European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to visit this year, which is very symbolic in the year of celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Kazakhstan and the EU," Vasilenko said.

He also said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan seeks to facilitate the visa regime between Kazakhstan and Europe.
