Kazakhstan Produces 75.7 Million Tons of Oil in January–September 2025

Kazakhstan produced 75.7 million tons of oil in the first nine months of 2025 — 13.2% more than in the same period last year, Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov announced, according to oilcapital.ru.

Oil exports during this period reached 60.5 million tons. By the end of the year, Kazakhstan plans to produce 96.2 million tons of oil, with 70.5 million tons destined for foreign markets.

At the same time, Kazakhstan must compensate for overproduction under the OPEC+ agreement by reducing output by 2.917 million barrels by mid-summer 2026.

During the reporting period, the country produced 51.6 billion cubic meters of gas, representing 116.7% of last year’s level. Consumption of commercial gas amounted to 14.3 billion cubic meters, or 100.4% compared to the same period in 2024.

Gas transit through Kazakhstan totaled 53 billion cubic meters (102.9% of last year’s level), while petroleum product output rose to 11.6 million tons (110.1% year-on-year).

According to the Ministry of Energy, total petroleum product output for 2025 is expected to reach 13.7 million tons, or 100.7% of the 2024 figure.
