Kazakhstan is ready to provide a platform for negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stated President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"We welcome Armenia and Azerbaijan's desire to conclude a peace agreement," emphasized the Kazakh leader during a joint briefing with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Kazakhstan is ready to provide maximum assistance, take on the mission of goodwill, that is, to provide its platform for negotiations between the two countries," Tokayev said.
According to him, Kazakhstan's goal is to bring friendly countries closer together, pave the way for good neighborliness, peace, and stable regional development.
In March 2024, the President of Kazakhstan made a state visit to Baku, where he held talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
Tokayev called Armenia a reliable partner in the South Caucasus. The Kazakh leader emphasized that this is his first official visit to Armenia, and it holds special significance for him.
He stressed that Armenia and Kazakhstan's positions on several regional issues are close. The Kazakh leader also noted that this year, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Armenian Culture Days will be held in Kazakhstan. He invited the Armenian Prime Minister to visit Kazakhstan on an official visit.
