Kazakhstan, together with Turkic states, plans to create a simplified customs corridor

The State Revenue Committee of the Government of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft government decree "On the signing of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the governments of the Turkic states on the creation of a simplified customs corridor," Zakon.kz reports.

The simplified customs corridor is an electronic system aimed at the advance exchange of information on goods transported in trade, open for use on a voluntary basis and can be used on all modes of transport, the document says.

According to the explanatory note, the document was developed in order to reduce the time for customs control, ensure its security and develop the exchange of information regarding goods and vehicles moved between the territories of the states of the parties and, as a result, simplify customs control procedures and create more favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity .

As expected, the agreement on simplification of the customs corridor will be signed by Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
