Kazakhstan trades with more than 200 countries of World

Kazakhstan's total trade turnover with all countries around the world has reached $67.2 billion. Among its key trading partners are countries within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), accounting for about $17.4 billion of this total.

In total, Kazakhstan engages in trade with 205 countries. This information was released by the National Statistics Bureau of Kazakhstan's Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.

China is the main trade and economic partner for Kazakhstan, closely followed by Russia. Italy emerged as the leader in trade with Kazakhstan among European Union member states, and among neighboring countries in the Central Asian region, it's Uzbekistan.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have increased their trade turnover to $242.7 million in the first half of 2023, with Turkmenistan's export share in the trade balance exceeding $61.3 million.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, sharing a common border, are actively promoting bilateral economic relations. Last year, the growth rates of export-import operations between the two countries exceeded a record 70%. Currently, Ashgabat and Astana are working on increasing the transit of goods within the framework of international transportation corridors.
