Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University (WKATU) named after Zhangir Khan Sarsenbek Montaev was included in the World's Top 2% Scientists rating, Zakon.kz reports.
The top best scientists in the world were compiled by Stanford University analysts according to the latest data from the scientific publishing house Elsevier.
The rating is based on bibliometric studies: citations of scientists for the entire career and for the last year.
"Sarsenbek Montaev has been working in WKATU for the last years, now he is the head of the Industrial and Technological Institute of the University. He is a developer of new technologies in the production of building materials, as well as the head of a project to improve the structural and mechanical properties of soils of agricultural land", the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture Kazakhstan commented.
State awards were awarded in Kazakhstan to 50 workers in the field of science at the end of December. The award is aimed at supporting and encouraging scientists, workers in the field of science, who have made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology in the country, and was established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
