Kazakhstan's top-ranked tennis player, Elena Rybakina, has become the only female tennis player to hit over 500 winners in WTA 1000 tournaments in 2024, Zakon.kz reports.
According to the statistical resource OptaAce, the Kazakhstani player has accumulated 570 points through her active play.
The draw for the clay-court WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, which will take place from May 7th to May 19th, was held yesterday. The defending champion of the tournament, Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, has been seeded second by the organizers. She will skip the first round and face either Romanian Irina Begu or a player from the qualifiers in the second round.
