Kazakhstan's GDP growth by the end of 2022 is expected to be at the level of 2-3%, KazTAG reported with reference to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

“Given weaker external demand and more moderate oil production than previously estimated, we expect GDP growth in 2022 at the level of 2-3%,” the National Bank of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

Curiously, according to the IMF forecast published in April 2021, Kazakhstan's GDP growth in real terms in 2022 was supposed to be 2.3%.

For reference: in 2021, the gross domestic product of Kazakhstan amounted to just over 82.2 trillion tenge. Compared to the same period of the previous year, GDP increased by 4.1% in real terms.

As for the milestones of subsequent years, in 2023 the National Bank predicts GDP growth of 3-4%, in 2024-2025. - 3.5-4.5%.
