The total amount of loans issued in Tajikistan at the beginning of September 2022 amounted to 8,9 billion somoni, which is equivalent to $871.9 million. The loan was issued in national and foreign currencies, Avesta reports.
Most of the loans were consumer loans - more than 3.4 billion somoni with an increase of 13% from a year earlier, the National Bank of Tajikistan announced.
Consumer loans accounted for 38.4% of the total amount of loans issued. The average interest rate on consumer loans was 24.6% in national currency. In foreign currency, this figure was 13.8%.
During this period, the following were allocated to the economic sectors: agriculture - 1 billion 519.5 million somoni, industry - 910.6 million somoni and construction - 267.7 million somoni.
