On November 5, an official ceremony was held at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo to welcome the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The President of Egypt personally greeted the Kyrgyz leader, according to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

Following a one-on-one meeting between the two presidents, expanded negotiations took place. The leaders discussed a wide range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to strengthening political dialogue, enhancing trade and economic relations, and expanding cooperation in tourism, education, agriculture, and energy.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in intensifying contacts at the governmental, business, and cultural levels. The parties announced their intention to establish a Kyrgyz-Egyptian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as to sign several agreements — including those on mutual recognition of academic degrees, cooperation in tourism, and exchange of experience in the agricultural sector.

The presidents expressed readiness to promote increased trade turnover between the two countries and emphasized the importance of direct business ties between Kyrgyz and Egyptian entrepreneurs. Particular attention was given to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the organization of Kyrgyz Culture Days in Egypt and the establishment of a Kyrgyz Cultural Center in Cairo.

This marks President Sadyr Japarov’s first official visit to Egypt, which, according to experts, opens a new chapter in Kyrgyz-Egyptian relations and strengthens Kyrgyzstan’s presence in the Middle East.
