Kyrgyz FM confirms exclusion of Taliban from list of banned organizations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has officially confirmed that the country's competent state authorities have decided to remove the Taliban from the list of banned organizations within the country.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic confirms that after careful consideration and comprehensive evaluation by the country's competent state authorities, a decision was made to exclude the 'Taliban' movement from the list of banned organizations within the Kyrgyz Republic," the press service of the ministry stated.

Kyrgyzstan remains committed to supporting international community efforts aimed at ensuring stability and peace in Afghanistan and the region, the Foreign Ministry assured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Afghan government, formed by the Taliban, had earlier stated that the Kyrgyz authorities had removed the movement from the list of banned organizations.
