Residents of Kyrgyzstan surpass those of other Central Asian countries in their level of English proficiency, according to the international educational center EF Education First, as reported by Euroasiatoday.ru.
The study was conducted among residents of 113 countries and revealed an interesting distribution of language skills in the region.
Kyrgyzstan ranked 90th in the global ranking, which is the best result among the Central Asian republics.
It is followed by Uzbekistan (93rd place) and Kazakhstan (104th place). It is worth noting that data for Turkmenistan is not included in the ranking.
The Netherlands topped the global ranking, confirming the high level of language education in this European country. Notably, Belarus ranked quite high at 33rd place, while Russia is positioned at 41st place.
Tajikistan closes the list, ranking second to last at 112th out of 113 possible positions. This may be due to various factors, including the specifics of the country's education system and international connections.
This ranking reflects not only the level of English proficiency but also indirectly indicates the degree of integration of countries into the global information and economic space.
It can serve as one of the indicators of the potential for international cooperation and tourism development in the region.
