The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is not just about documents and mechanisms, but above all a “space of trust and shared responsibility, rooted in common history and a shared vision for the future,” said Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev at the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk, reports Economist.kg.
Kasymaliev outlined several priorities, highlighting the development of the agro-industrial complex as the main focus. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s push for the rapid launch of a financial support mechanism for joint cooperative projects, including agricultural processing, modern irrigation technologies, seed production, and organic farming.
He also stressed the importance of industrial cooperation and the creation of long-term interstate programs aimed at developing high-tech sectors.
Another strategic task for the Union, Kasymaliev noted, is the establishment of a resilient transport system connecting East and West, North and South, ensuring EAEU countries’ participation in global trade.
The Prime Minister also addressed freedom of movement, calling for the removal of barriers and restrictions within the Union’s internal market so that citizens can work, study, and live freely across EAEU countries with their families.
“We must create a favorable environment for our citizens so they can carry out their professional activities comfortably and effectively in any Union country,” he concluded.
