A Hungarian–Kyrgyz business forum took place in Budapest, organized by the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event served as an important international platform for expanding economic ties and promoting Kyrgyzstan’s investment potential, Economist.kg reports.

Around 40 companies from both countries participated in the forum. The discussions focused on cooperation prospects in energy, industry, agriculture, logistics, tourism, the IT sector and other promising areas. Special attention was given to creating new partnerships, supporting export-oriented projects and attracting private investment into Kyrgyzstan’s economy.

A key outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic and Electron Holding. The document provides for the construction of a network of solar power plants with a total capacity of up to 300 MW. The projected investment volume exceeds $300 million.

On the sidelines of the forum, B2B and B2G meetings were held, where business representatives and government institutions discussed concrete initiatives, found potential partners and coordinated next steps. This format gave companies direct access to new markets and helped secure agreements that will form the basis for long-term cooperation.
