In recent years, the Kyrgyz Republic has achieved significant economic progress, ranking in the top 30 countries globally for real GDP growth rate among 220 nations in 2023. Last year, its GDP surpassed 1.2 trillion soms, or $14 trillion, and is projected to reach 1.4 trillion soms, or $16 trillion, this year.
Over three years, Kyrgyzstan's budget has tripled, with dynamic economic growth observed in key sectors such as industry, agriculture, construction, and services.
Foreign trade volume is also increasing. For instance, from January to August of this year, Kyrgyzstan's foreign and mutual trade volume totaled $10.6 billion, marking a 9.0% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
These figures were presented by the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Amangeldiev, at a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ministry's founding. "Your efforts, initiative, and persistence are the foundation of our achievements," he told his colleagues.
Amangeldiev then awarded departmental honors. In recognition of their long and impeccable service, professional skill, and significant contributions to economic development, 41 employees were awarded the jubilee medal 100 JYL (100 YEARS).
