Starting from January 22, 2025, changes will be introduced to the visa application process in Kyrgyzstan as part of efforts to improve investment policy and develop tourism. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
Foreign citizens will now be able to use an expedited electronic visa application process. If the urgent service option is selected, the visa will be issued within 24 hours from the time of application submission.
Additionally, a new visa category—"Sapar Visa (Type J)"—is being introduced. It is intended for business, tourism, and personal trips, such as visiting friends or undergoing medical examinations. This visa will be valid for up to 90 days and will allow for either single or multiple entries and exits.
Previously existing visa categories, such as "Business," "Tourist," and "Mountain Tourism" visas, will be discontinued.
Foreign citizens are advised to use the "Electronic Visa" portal to apply for the new visa and obtain additional information.
