Kyrgyzstan may introduce 10,000 electric vehicles without duties in 2023

Kyrgyzstan got the opportunity to take advantage of the established tariff preferences in the EAEU for the duty-free import of 10,000 electric vehicles from third countries in 2023, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev said, Economist.kg reports.

Kasymaliev summed up the results of the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the bodies of the EAEU and spoke about the agreements reached during the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

Among the agreements reached there is a clause on a simplified procedure for obtaining type approval of vehicles without sending vehicles by the manufacturer to testing laboratories located on the territory of the Member States. Domestic producers of petroleum products have extended the terms of modernization of enterprises until 2025.
