The upcoming competition begins on July 23 in Japan and will be one of the largest sporting events in the region. The Asian Games are held every four years under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia and are considered the second most important multi-sport tournament in the world after the Olympic Games. The program includes dozens of sports, and thousands of athletes from across Asia participate.

Only 16 of the strongest national teams from Asia, selected from representatives of 65 countries in the region, will compete in the volleyball tournament.

The federation believes that participation in the Asian Games will allow Kyrgyz athletes to gain valuable international experience and strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position on the Asian sports map.
