The overall increase in investment in Kyrgyzstan in the first two months of 2024 amounted to 55%, the Eurasian Development Bank reports.
Tajikistan was in second place - 43.2%, in Armenia the increase was 14.8%, in Russia - 9.8%, in Kazakhstan - 7.9% and Belarus - 3.4%.
Kyrgyzstan managed to achieve such indicators through the development of the mining industry, the implementation of a number of fuel and energy projects and the transport industry.
Contrary to prejudices that the main financial flows to Kyrgyzstan come from Western countries, Russia remains the main investor for Kyrgyzstan.
In 2023, large-scale work was carried out with entrepreneurs from dozens of regions of Russia from Kaliningrad to Krasnoyarsk.
At the end of the year, more than 1,100 companies with Russian participation were registered in the country, and the amount of their investments in the economy exceeded $130 million.
