Kyrgyzstan Participates in FIATA HQ Meeting in Geneva

The annual FIATA HQ Meeting, organized by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, was held in Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on the development of multimodal transport routes and the simplification of international trade, Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy informed.

Kyrgyzstan was represented by Nurbek Maksutov, head of the Ministry of Economy's WTO Affairs Office, who participated in a panel session dedicated to optimizing key multimodal transport corridors.

During the discussion, Maksutov provided expert insights on the development of efficient, sustainable, and reliable transport routes, including corridors in Central Asia.

Additionally, he presented a project aimed at developing tools for facilitating digital and sustainable trade along the Trans-Caspian Transit Corridor. The initiative focuses on preparing policy recommendations for UN member states to accelerate trade digitalization and optimize logistics within the Middle Corridor.
