Kyrgyzstan is prepared to challenge possible European Union sanctions against the republic in court. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to the official, Bishkek is taking all necessary measures to comply with Western restrictions, but the EU has still not presented clear criteria that would allow the country to demonstrate the transparency of its actions.

"If such a decision is made, we will be ready to challenge it in court," emphasized Amangeldiev, noting that the Kyrgyz side has evidence of measures taken to control exports.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that Brussels has not proposed appropriate mechanisms for fulfilling its requirements. "There must be rules that we should follow. If the rules are not formulated, how can we follow them?" he questioned.

Earlier, Georgia also announced its refusal to impose sanctions against Russia, explaining that this could harm the national economy.
