The national pavilion of Kyrgyzstan received the Gold Award in the “Empowering Lives” category at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The gold medal was awarded for an exhibition that highlighted human potential, the power of education, cultural richness, and the nation’s contribution to sustainable development.
Among 169 participating countries, Kyrgyzstan was one of the 19 gold winners, alongside three other Central Asian states — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
The international jury praised the pavilion’s outstanding design, the successful blend of traditional values with modern technologies, and its strong humanistic message inspiring creativity and personal growth.
At the BIE Awards 2025, other Central Asian countries also gained recognition. Uzbekistan won a gold medal for “Theme Development” with its concept “Garden of Knowledge: A Laboratory for the Society of the Future.” Kazakhstan took first place in “Theme Development” among small pavilions in Category C, surpassing competitors from over 90 countries.
EXPO 2025 was held from April 13 to October 13 on Yumeshima Island in Osaka, attracting around 28 million visitors.
