Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth not fallen below 7% over past 3 years - President

The economic situation in Kyrgyzstan has significantly improved in recent years, stated President Sadyr Japarov during the opening of the "Terek-Tash" clinker plant in the Kemin district, reports Economist.kg.

Kyrgyzstan's economic growth has shown stable development, with the average GDP growth rate over the past three years not falling below 7%. From January to July 2024, the economic growth rate reached 8.7%, amounting to 677 billion soms ($7.9 billion), Japarov said.

"The country's budget has shown significant growth, doubling over the past three years. In 2020, the consolidated budget of the country was 247.7 billion soms, and in 2023, budgetary resources reached 577.2 billion soms. I am confident that by the end of 2024, we will surpass the 650 billion soms mark," said the President of Kyrgyzstan.

President Japarov also added that to ensure the country's sustainable development in the long term, Kyrgyzstan has set an ambitious goal of reaching a GDP of $30 billion by 2030.
