Kyrgyzstan's International Reserves Reach Record $6.6 Billion

The gross international reserves of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reached $6.6175 billion at the end of July 2025, increasing by $109.08 million compared to June, according to the regulator’s report, Economist.kg reports.

The liquid portion of the reserves grew to $6.54514 billion from $6.43595 billion a month earlier.

Since the beginning of the year, the country's international reserves have risen by 30%, or $1.52942 billion, compared to December 2024. The liquid portion increased by $1.5314 billion during this period.

Year-on-year growth is even more impressive: in July 2024, reserves stood at only $3.98795 billion, which is $2.62955 billion less than the current level.

According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, these reserves help maintain the stability of the som, finance the balance of payments deficit, and reduce the economy's vulnerability to external shocks.

According to Statista, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP in current prices is projected to reach $19.849 billion in 2025.

In the first half of 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP grew by 11.7%, outpacing other countries in the region.
