Moscow hosted the VIII International Conference "Eurasian Migration System: Current Trends and Development Prospects", dedicated to the issues of migration within the EAEU space. The conference on December 23 was jointly held by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA).

This time the Conference was devoted to Eurasian migration, with a special focus on the countries of the Central Asian region, reports IA-Centr.ru.

Saodat Olimova, director of the research center "Sharq", in the report "Tajikistan - a country of migration: trends, trends, prospects" noted that:

- For 20 years, a model of low internal and intensive external migration has been formed in Tajikistan. The latter is directed mainly to Russia.

- In 2021–2022 most of the migrants from Tajikistan still leave for Russia.

- The transition from seasonal migration to resettlement continues. In 2021, 103,687 migrants from Tajikistan received Russian citizenship. This trend will increase due to security concerns.

Luhmonjon Isokov from the Research Center of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in his speech “The National System for the Protection of the Rights of Migrants in Uzbekistan” came to the following conclusions:

- The president has the greatest powers in the sphere of regulation of migration and citizenship issues.
- Its effectiveness is enhanced by the work of the advisory commission on citizenship issues. She has a strong focus on ICT solutions and is an advocate for reform.
- An analysis of the appeals shows that in the past six years the commission has been solving systemic problems of freedom of movement, opening borders and reducing the number of stateless people.

Dmitry Poletaev from the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences prepared a study “Health status of labor migrants from the EAEU: it is impossible to get sick (on the example of Kyrgyzstan)”. In it, he highlighted the following:

- Migrants seek medical care when there is an urgent need.

- Migrants from Kyrgyzstan have the opportunity to obtain a compulsory medical insurance policy if they are legally employed, but there are only 20% of them among the total migration flow. This is only half of those with legitimate jobs.
- Among the Kyrgyz migrants, there is a regression in the prevention of tuberculosis and HIV: 40.5% of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan did fluorography more than a year ago, 36.9% were tested for HIV more than a year ago.
