Main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan - Switzerland and China

From January to March 2024, Switzerland became Kyrgyzstan's main trading partner for exports among non-CIS countries, accounting for 12.5% of the total export volume, reports Akchabar.

Among other key export destinations outside the CIS: the United Arab Emirates (4.5%), Turkey (5.8%), China (3.7%), and Iran (0.9%).

At the same time, China was the main supplier of imported goods to Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2024, accounting for 50.2% of total imports. It was followed by Russia (15.3%), Japan (2%), South Korea (2.8%), Turkey (3.2%), the USA (2.9%), and Germany (3.4%).

Importers to Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2024:

  • China: 50.20%
  • Russia: 15.30%
  • Germany: 3.40%
  • Turkey: 3.20%
  • USA: 2.90%
  • South Korea: 2.80%
  • Japan: 2.00%
  • Other countries: 20.20%

Among CIS countries, Russia (23.2%), Kazakhstan (14%), and Uzbekistan (12.3%) are Kyrgyzstan's key trading partners for exports.

Meanwhile, the largest import volumes from CIS countries were from Russia (15.3%), Kazakhstan (5.1%), and Uzbekistan (3%).
