President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed the creation of a guide for parents and students of schools and universities on protecting themselves from the harmful effects of social networks while harnessing their positive aspects, announced the press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
This directive was given during a sectoral meeting dedicated to the priority tasks in the fields of education, healthcare, digitalization, etc., for the year 2024.
"Recognizing the 'importance of analyzing social networks, which have become popular among the youth,' the country's president deemed it necessary to release such a guide 'in an accessible language,'" Asadov wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also noted that a guide for parents is planned, focusing on children's adaptation to school, fostering their love for reading, good behavior, communication skills with others... In other words, preparing them for life in society.
Asadov quoted Mirziyoyev's statement: "If the initiatives listed above are implemented, parents will have responsibility, teachers will have duties, students will have trust, and the education and upbringing sector will have quality."
