President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Astana, called on the participants in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to immediately cease hostilities, El.kz reports.

"We are witnessing an increasingly global crisis of trust. New challenges to global security are emerging. We are witnessing deviations from international law norms more often. The extremely dangerous nature of the long-standing Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Middle East is of particular concern to all of us," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

He noted that armed clashes have resulted in a sharp increase in the number of casualties and injuries among the civilian population, particularly among the elderly, women, and children.

"The threat of a wide escalation of the conflict is growing. In this regard, we call on the parties to immediately halt hostilities, cease fire, and come to a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes. The only fair solution to this problem should be based on the two-state principle for two peoples," the President of Uzbekistan emphasized.

Furthermore, referring to UN resolutions, Mirziyoyev emphasized that the Palestinian people have the right to establish an independent state, and within the Organization of Turkic States, member countries should declare a unanimous principled position on this matter to the world.
