Mirziyoyev opened new building of Uzbek Embassy in Dushanbe

In Dushanbe, a solemn opening ceremony of the new Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan took place, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.

The opening ceremony was held as part of the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.

The heads of the two states, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon, cut the symbolic ribbon.

Later, the presidents familiarized themselves with the conditions created for the diplomatic staff in the new embassy building, and also left their wishes in the Guest Book.

Earlier, it was reported that during Mirziyoyev's state visit to Tajikistan, the presidents of the two countries signed 28 documents, including a treaty on allied relations. According to the President of Uzbekistan, this step fully meets the fundamental interests of the two peoples.

The goal of increasing mutual trade volume to $2 billion was noted, including through active import substitution from third countries. The importance of accelerating the creation of the free trade border zone "Oybek-Photekhobod" and the trade and logistics center "Andarkhan" was also emphasized.
