5.61 million foreigners entered Kazakhstan in 2022, Acting Chairman of the Committee of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Aslan Atalykov said, the portal Zakon.kz reports.

Most foreigners come to Kazakhstan from the CIS countries, said Atalykov.

"Most number of immigrants came from Russia - 2.9 million. In second place - citizens of Uzbekistan - 2.3 million 730 thousand citizens entered from Kyrgyzstan. More than 330 thousand - from Tajikistan. And almost 90 thousand citizens of Turkey.

Now 650,000 foreigners are temporarily staying in Kazakhstan. 90% of visitors are citizens from the same countries. Almost 6.0 million foreigners have left the country," Atalykov said.

He also spoke about the situation with the immigration of Russian citizens now.

“As for the citizens of the Russian Federation, I would like to note here that, firstly, as before, they are the most frequent guests in Kazakhstan. Their main influx falls on the summer months, that is, during the vacation and tourism season, when Kazakhstan was visited 1.2 million Russians. The largest number of them arrived in July - more than 485 thousand. In August, a little less - 400 thousand. In September, 406 thousand Russians entered, and most of them - from September 21 to September 30 due to well-known reasons, " Atalykov exclaimed.

According to him, if before that the average daily immigration of Russians was about 8-9 thousand a day, then these days the average daily influx reached 30 thousand people a day.
