It presents objects of monumental and easel art, wall paintings, carved details of palaces, objects of arts and crafts.

In total, visitors will be able to get acquainted with 168 museum exhibits: 137 items from 13 museums of the Republic of Uzbekistan, covering the period from the 5th-6th centuries BC to the Timurid era, and 31 from the leading museums of the world, such as the British Museum, the British Library, the Victoria Museum and Albert in London; Cabinet of medals, National Library of France, etc.

Among the unique exhibits, the Kattalangar Quran of the 8th century, one of the most important manuscripts of the Islamic world, stands out. The Quran has a colossal religious significance for Islam and Muslims and is one of those values that constitute the cultural and historical heritage of all mankind.

As the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan noted, there is only one copy of the Kattalangar Koran in the world. The exhibition will feature two pages from the Koran, and visitors will be able to see its unique calligraphy and miniatures.

The exposition also includes 12 miniatures telling about the history of the era of the Bukhara Emirate.
Gayane Umerova, executive director of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, spoke about the organization of the exhibition.

“We managed to bring together the best specialists from France and Uzbekistan to realize the project of the first exhibition of Uzbekistan in the Louvre. Covering a period of almost two millennia, the exhibition reveals our country's rich history and heritage to an international audience.

The exhibition in Paris naturally expands the Foundation's mission to preserve and popularize our culture, and also lays a solid foundation for our bilateral cooperation in the future,” she said in an interview with UzNews.uz.
On November 21, the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France began, where he will hold talks with President Emmanuel Macron and visit the Elysee Palace.
