Turkmenistan, Pakistan create company to solve joint logistics issues

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad Ashan Zafar Bakhtavari announced the need to create a transport company to solve joint logistics issues during negotiations with Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov, Orient reports.

The Turkmen ambassador mentioned that the country will help meet the growing needs of the population of the republic for electricity, and also spoke about the possibilities of the transnational TAPI project, noting that affordable prices for Turkmen electricity will allow Pakistan to ensure sustainable economic growth.

"Pakistan and Turkmenistan should help increase mutual business visits and organize exhibitions of our countries on a mutual basis for the development of trade," the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad noted in turn.

The parties also touched upon the issue of laying fiber optic cables, stressed the need to intensify economic ties and the importance of the ports of Karachi and Gwadar for the transit trade of Turkmenistan.
