Over $1 bln sent abroad by Kyrgyz individuals in 2022

Kyrgyz individuals sent abroad $1 billion 82.5 million from Kyrgyzstan for 11 months of 2022 through fast transfer systems, according to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, Kabar reports.

Compared to the same period in 2021, the volume exceeds more than 2 times. The increase in outflow was affected by record highs in the autumn months. In September 2022, USD 170.4 million left the country through fast money transfer systems, and USD 160.4 million in October.

The November outflow was the third largest in terms of volume, amounting to USD 142.8 million. The increase in outflow from the republic has been recorded since July, when the figure increased from USD 85.7 million to 133.4 million.
