The Turkmenbashi International Sea Port on the Caspian Sea received two units of large-sized mining equipment, Orient reports.

German-made equipment was delivered by sea from the ports of Turkey. It will be used in the construction of the second stage of the cement plant in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan. Each of the units of the imported equipment weighs 125 tons.

The general cargo terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport has two Liebherr cranes with a lifting capacity of 330 tons each (with the possibility of increasing up to 750 tons). They are designed to unload bulky and heavy cargo imported into Turkmenistan, the report said.

Earlier in December 2022, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan held a course for specialists of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port on the topic “Use of loading and unloading equipment of ports and transport stations”. At the end of the classes, the specialists were given certificates, which also gained valuable work experience.

Turkmenbashi International Seaport has been cooperating with foreign companies for many years in the transshipment of bulky cargo due to the high-quality infrastructure and advantageous geographical location of Turkmenistan, which plays an important role in the development of transit traffic.
