President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, held negotiations in Baku with President Ilham Aliyev in a narrow format.
During the meeting, issues of deepening bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, agricultural, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that the high-level negotiations held in Bishkek and Baku over the past two years, as well as the agreements reached and documents signed, not only gave an important impetus to cooperation, but also filled the interaction between the two countries with completely new, high-quality content.
The presidents of the two countries confirmed their mutual commitment to developing cooperation in all areas in the spirit of allied relations and strategic partnership.
After the meeting in a narrow format, the presidents held the Second Meeting of the Interstate Council (ISC) of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Azerbaijan Republic.
During the meeting, the heads of state of the two countries heard reports from the relevant government bodies of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, energy and agricultural spheres.
The heads of state believe that the countries have ample opportunities for practical cooperation in all areas. In addition, relations between fraternal countries are based on a solid foundation - these are deep historical and spiritual ties between our peoples.
