President of Tajikistan called for reducing intensity of labor migration

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon reminded compatriots of the extremely complex and tangled state of the modern world. He addressed the citizens of his country at the opening ceremony of the restored Khujand Fortress, Ritmeurasia reports.

Rahmon called on leaders, activists, and entrepreneurs of the Sughd region to work as diligently as possible, to build, create, increase production of goods, create jobs, and, if possible, reduce the intensity of labor migration.

For this purpose, all conditions and opportunities exist in the region, especially in the field of processing products, development of crafts - silk and carpet weaving, jewelry, carving, and others, Rahmon said.

The Khujand Fortress, as a fortification with a three-thousand-year history, was revived and restored with funding from the executive body of state power of the Sughd region.
