President of Uzbekistan received Turkish high ranked official delegation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Turkish delegation consisting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya, and Director of the National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin, reports Uza.uz.

At the start of the meeting, the distinguished guests conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the leader of Uzbekistan.

The meeting addressed current issues regarding the further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership relations and the development of multifaceted cooperation in the context of implementing the agreements made during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey on June 6-7 of this year.

The fruitful results of today’s joint meeting of ministers and heads of departments of the two countries were highly praised. The importance of continuing regular and systematic contacts in accordance with the adopted "roadmap" was emphasized, as well as expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations.

Discussions focused on deepening political dialogue and advancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation projects. Special attention was given to strengthening interagency coordination and holding joint activities to counter modern challenges and security threats.

There was also an exchange of views on current aspects of regional cooperation and collaboration within international organizations.
