President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, addressing the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council, stated that the council responds to new realities by strengthening existing multilateral efforts.

"Our meeting takes place at a time when decisive and pragmatic actions are becoming of defining importance. Essentially, we are talking about building a lasting peace through practical, purposeful measures, rather than through endless conferences with resolutions based merely on well-wishing," Tokayev said, Vlast.kz reports.

The Kazakh leader stated that President Trump’s "clear vision" and "farsighted approach to promoting global peace and stability" inspired Kazakhstan to join the Peace Council. He expressed full alignment with Trump’s conviction that "lasting peace must be based on concrete actions."

"I would also like to propose establishing a special award under the auspices of the Peace Council, bearing President Trump’s name, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the cause of promoting peace," Tokayev suggested.

President Tokayev announced Kazakhstan's readiness to join the Gaza Strip reconstruction process through "international companies with proven business reputations and high levels of competence." He envisioned a program focused on:

  • Infrastructure & Housing: Building essential residential and logistical facilities.
  • Social Assets: Constructing schools and hospitals.

Highlighting Kazakhstan's resources and expertise, Tokayev detailed several specific forms of assistance:

  • Food Security: As a major global wheat producer, Kazakhstan is ready to provide humanitarian food aid to Gaza and beyond.
  • Education: Kazakhstan plans to allocate over 500 educational grants for Palestinian students to study at Kazakh universities over the next five years.
  • Digital Governance: Offering internationally recognized expertise in e-government and other digital solutions.
  • Medical Support: Readiness to deploy medical units with a field hospital and send observers to the Civil-Military Coordination Center.

Tokayev concluded by reaffirming Kazakhstan’s willingness to provide practical support by hosting high-level meetings across various formats to facilitate dialogue.
