The first two-day state visit to Kyrgyzstan by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, ended with the signing of a whole package of bilateral agreements and treaties.
As a result of the negotiations, a number of bilateral documents aimed at building up bilateral cooperation were signed, press service of Kyrgyz President reports.
The following documents have been signed:
- Agreement on the establishment and operation of cultural centers between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Agreement on cooperation in the military field between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical sciences between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Agreement on mutual administrative assistance for the purpose of optimal application of customs legislation, as well as suppression, investigation and combating customs offenses between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of sports between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the legal field between the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Justice of the State of Qatar.
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding on joint cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Finance of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the State of Qatar in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations.
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of activities of central banks between the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Central Bank of the State of Qatar.
- Memorandum of Understanding in the field of training of specialists between the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute. I. Abdraimov and Qatar Aviation College.
- The first visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar took place on June 6-7, 2023. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani is on an official tour of the countries of Central Asia.
Before that he made his first official visit to Uzbekistan on June 5-6, and after the end of his visit to Kyrgyzstan, he will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, he will take part in the Astana Economic Forum along with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on June 8, 2023.
