The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, held a telephone conversation, Avesta.tj reports.
The two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Nowruz and the holy holiday of Eid al-Fitr. The President of Tajikistan wished his Iranian counterpart good health and new successes, as well as peace, stability, development, and prosperity for the people of Iran.
They then discussed the current situation and prospects for developing friendly relations and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
President Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral ties, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a high-level dialogue between the two nations.
In this context, the results of the recent visit of the Iranian President to Tajikistan were assessed. Both sides expressed confidence that the full implementation of the agreements reached during the visit will help effectively address key issues in bilateral relations.
